About This Image:
I guess in a city as old as Paris, the Eiffel Tower is still the new kid on the block, but in my eyes, it feels like such an iconic piece of the city, as if its always been there. There was something about that timeless feeling that inspired this vintage Eiffel Tower print. This print is also a collision of reality with fantasy in those beautiful stars falling over that iconic architecture.
It feels strange today but the Eiffel Tower was never intended to be around as long as it has been. It was built on the Champs de Mars to act as the entrance to the 1889 World’s Fair. It was only intended to stand for the next 20 years before being dismantled. It’s hard to believe now but the tower was built to be easily removed! Funny how that worked out isn’t it? Of course that never happened and today it’s a Paris landmark.
There is simply something about the graceful architecture you see in this vintage Eiffel Tower print that feels perfectly suited for a sepia tone fantasy. That beautiful iron lattice tower has that 19th century flair that still speaks of an era when steam engines were de rigueur. And it was an era of progress when it seemed as if the sky was the limit. It’s hard to imagine anything as grandiose as the Eiffel Tower being built today with such an intentionally short lifespan, isn’t it?
For a period of time, the Eiffel Tower was the tallest man-made structure on earth. The first construction to surpass the great pyramid in Egypt in thousands of years. When I imagine the audacity of that, it feels like humanity was reaching for the stars once more in that golden age. And that is the inspiration for the stars falling in this vintage Eiffel tower print.
Whether or not you’ve stood on the Champs de Mars in Paris, I think this sepia-toned fantasy of that Paris landmark will speak to you as it does to me. I would love it if you took a moment from your day to let me know what speaks to you most about this Paris artwork!

Received the print today! It’s gorgeous! I really can’t thank you enough.
I’ll frame it and hang it in my apartment in NYC as soon as I get back.
I ordered a framed print of the Macon County Clinic and Nurses house . My mother… worked there from 1956 until the clinic closed. Now 80 and retired for many years , she often talks about the many people she remembers from those days, My brother and myself were all born and treated there by Dr. Fred and Dr. Tom. We thought the framed picture would be something she would get great joy from and probably stir a few memories. It is a beautiful artwork and looking forward to seeing her face when she gets this gift on Christmas. Thanks for the Great GIFT!!

I’m excited to show off your work to my friends and family. You are one of the most talented photographers I’ve seen and it’s a pleasure to own your work.
I just dropped it off at the framing shop on Friday and had a look at it…. it’s absolutely beautiful. I purchased it to replace a painting of Paris and to be honest the way that you have captured Dublin on the river at night makes it look more beautiful than Paris. Beautiful photo, you are very talented.
Love it… the print arrived today and looks awesome!!
Now I just need to get a suitable frame and get it up where it can be enjoyed.
Originally I purchased these cards to give for Easter, but they are so beautiful I decided to frame and keep them for myself.
