When I first moved to Atlanta in the late ’90s, The Pinnacle was one of the most striking buildings I remember. I later learned it was a relatively new addition to Buckhead’s skyline at the time, but even then, it felt like a landmark. Living nearby, I often admired its sleek glass and steel design, which seemed to capture the essence of a modern Atlanta. Though the surrounding skyline has grown and changed, The Pinnacle continues to hold its place as a symbol of Buckhead’s bold architectural identity.

This canvas print captures the dynamic energy of Buckhead, with cars in motion and the vibrant hum of city life along its busy streets. Once known for its bustling nightlife, Buckhead has continued to evolve into a thriving commercial and residential district, blending modern development with its ever-evolving character. Designed by the architecture firm Pickard Chilton, The Pinnacle’s curved glass sail roof creates an illusion of movement that’s as fascinating as it is unique. It might sound naive but it took me awhile to realize that the roof doesn’t actually  have any moving parts. It’s a fixed structure. Still, its bold design creates a sense of dynamic potential that I’ve always found inspiring.

The image for this canvas print was created during one of my final walks through Atlanta before leaving to pursue my dreams of being a full-time artist. It felt fitting to return to this landmark on that journey. It’s a reminder of where I began and the possibilities ahead. For me, The Pinnacle represents both personal and creative growth, as well as part of my connection to Atlanta and its ever-changing skyline.
