This autumn canvas print features a colorful scene with a man walking the dog on a path lined with abstract fall foliage. This was in part inspired by memories of my late father who was always the “dog person” in our family. The rest is inspired quite simply by my love for autumn, particularly in places where fall color rules the season. When I lived in the north Atlanta suburbs I would often drive up into the North Georgia mountains on weekends to take in the sights. Despite the almost frenetic colors, there’s something to me very calming about the sight. How about you?
Does the man walking the dog in this print remind you of yourself or maybe someone special to you? Although not directly modeled on my father he was very much in my thoughts while working on the artwork on this autumn canvas art print. If you look closely he’s holding a stick rather than a leash. Perhaps it’s no surprise that Dad, who grew up on baseball, loved to play fetch with our dogs. Jack, his last dog, was the only one though that got particularly good at the returning the stick part. Ha!
This colorful autumn scene simply makes me smile. The warm mix of colors is heartwarming on its own. I can hear the sounds of the woods and can imagine the dog bounding off after the stick in a moment. The simple things in life…

After the purchase of your canvas print, it is made to your order. The artwork is printed on an acid-free poly/cotton blend canvas. The use of archival inks and substrate means that your canvas art print should last a lifetime without fading or loss of color.
When ordering your print, you have a choice between glossy and matte finishes. While I ordinarily love matte finishes on prints, I do like the sheen that comes on glossy canvas prints. Ultimately I would suggest letting the amount of light in your space guide your choice. In a brightly lit environment, I would lean towards a matte finish to reduce the chance of glare.
There are three wrap styles to choose from for canvas prints. The mirrored wrap choice mirrors and extends the image to the sides of the canvas wrap (without losing any of the original artwork on the front). The majority of the time I would suggest this is the best choice. The other two options are a solid black wrap or white wrap. You can see a preview of each option when selecting wrap color.
After printing, the canvas is stretched over and secured to a wooden frame of 1.5″ by 1.5″ stretcher bars. The entire production process takes from 5 to 7 business days. Your artwork will arrive in sturdy packaging. The hanging wire will be attached and all hardware necessary to hang your canvas print will be included. Canvas prints are a great ready-to-hang option.
