The subject of this Montezuma, Georgia metal print is Troy’s Snack Shack on Cherry Street. Troy’s is an institution in Montezuma and a must-visit place for most who no longer live here when they visit. I believe it’s probably the oldest business in downtown Montezuma but am not certain.
Of my local artwork of Montezuma, this one of Troy’s is a personal favorite. It captures not just the business but the sense of community in this small town. Even today it can be hard to park on Cherry Street at lunch time on a weekday when people descend on Troy’s Snack Shack.
