The subject of this London black and white greeting card is Tower Bridge – although if you are looking for London cards, then you probably know that already. This landmark is probably one of the most recognizable bridges in the world. And it’s so connected to the identity of London that I have often encountered people referring to it as “London Bridge” which is an entirely different bridge on the Thames River.
Tower Bridge was built in the late 1800’s in the Victorian Gothic Revival style. It was inwardly a modern steam driven draw bridge but outwardly the planners wanted it to complement the nearby Tower of London. The result is a truly amazing bridge which is presented on this card in dramatic black and white.
