This original Albany, Georgia greeting card features the Arctic Bear neon sign. This is legitimately a landmark for multiple generations of people from in and around Albany. The Arctic Bear was a drive-in restaurant on the corner of Slappey Drive and Oglethorpe Boulevard. The restaurant opened in 1950 and operated there all the way to 1995. That long history is part of the reason the Arctic Bear is still so fondly remembered decades later.
