About This Image

During my stay in Galway City, I had plenty of classically beautiful days even in the midst of a colder-than-normal Irish winter. As you can see from my other Galway City art prints, blue skies and sunshine were not a foreign concept. But for much of my stay there, mornings started out foggy, particularly down close to the waterfront. But each day, the fog burned off and the sun made a grand appearance.

At least that was the case until the zenith of the foggy mornings struck. On that day,the fog over Galway City never lifted and the sun made a weak appearance. There would probably be many a sane person who took that as their cue to stay indoors, but, as you can see, there’s an ethereal beauty in a dense fog. I spent most of the day out wandering the streets of Galway City and enjoying the unusual weather. In fact, by evening it had changed over to a freezing fog adding to the ice that was already all over.

I was particularly fascinated by how the fog transformed The Long Walk In Galway City. These classic Irish homes normally have a view of the waters of Galway Bay! But not on this day. The distant hills surrounding the bay are nowhere to be seen, but look at the billowing thick fog and the sense of the icy cold that pervades this Irish print! Not the classic blue skies view of the Long Walk in Galway City but incredibly beautiful in its own way! Don’t you agree?

After that first week, I was in and out of Galway City visiting a few places nearby but I never saw the like of that freezing fog again over the remainder of my time there. I’m proud of all my prints from Galway, but their comparative rarity has always made my foggy Galway artwork stand out in my mind.

How Can I Help?

At the end of the day, it’s important to me that you can put a face with the art you’re considering purchasing through my site. Aside from the print vendor who ultimately prints and ships your order, this is a one man show. The person who made the art is the same one who is typing this message and the one who will answer your questions if you drop me a note.

You are not a number and I care that you are happy with whatever art you might buy here. I’m here if you’d like to ask questions before or after purchasing. And I’m also happy to work with you where possible to customize the work you’re buying. Maybe you’d like a tweak to the shape of a print to fit in with your existing wall art. Or you’d like to add a little nod to someone special in it? Just ask! I also keep a running list of subjects I don’t currently have but people are seeking. So if you enjoy the style of my work but didn’t find quite what you were looking for, please do let me know.

I’ve been an artist for 15 years now and most of that time it’s been my full-time passion. And it matters to both the endorphins in my brain and the food I put on the table for me (and my cats) that you find the experience of purchasing the products offered here to be a pleasure.
