Monthly Print Giveaway News

Hi everyone, I wanted to to announce the first winner of my new monthly print giveaway. On June 1st, I pulled a name from my mailing list at random and Angie M. of Thomaston, Georgia, won a 16×20 print of my new Kiss In The Rain – London art print. Those who only get news from my mailing list may be asking themselves, “what monthly print giveaway?”

Good question! I’ve done a few giveaways in the past, probably most regularly was a spell a few years ago where I regularly did greeting card giveaways. I can’t recall when those faded away exactly but they were pretty much always directed to people who followed me on Facebook. I will say they didn’t fade away for lack of being fun. The point of those contests was always to push for interaction in the comments and it was always fun chatting with people who enjoyed my work and often shared interest in some of the same places or subjects as I do.

A couple of months ago, I was asked about those past card giveaways and I decided i would love to revive them but that this time I’d rather offer them as a reward for following along via my mailing list. Simple fact, I enjoy interacting on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter each in their own way. But being seen on those platforms is often a needle in a haystack deal and I honestly don’t feel like constantly fighting their algorithms. So if I’m going to promote something with a monthly print giveaway, promoting my mailing list seemed like the most logical direction to go in. And please keep in mind each message from my mailing list, you can reply directly to me. Or if it’s an email with links to the latest posts on my blog, you also have the option of replying in the comments section on most any given post. However you choose to respond, I’m here and enjoy getting the chance to interact.

I hope anyone who is subscribed has done so because you enjoy hearing from me, but I also hope that my new monthly print giveaway will be a little bit of a reward for sharing your email address with me and letting me drop in to chat every so often. I’m going to try my best to get back into the habit of sharing featured work on my blog and to my mailing list each week. We’ll see how that goes! Best laid plans and all that…
