From the moment our boat approached the Isle of Capri Harbor I knew I was going to like my time on this little Italian island. Just look at rugged Monte Tiberio rising out of the sea! To me, this panorama print of the Capri Harbor is like the Italian coast in miniature. Just look at those beautiful vistas and a town that seems to ascend the cliffs straight out of the sea! As much as I loved the ancient ruins I came to see in Italy, this was the enchanting side of the Italian experience that made me want to abandon my plane ticket home.

Later that afternoon we would be looking back down upon the main Capri Harbor, Marina Grande, from the top of that rugged mountain. Ostensibly we came to see the ruins of Villa Jovis, the ancient Roman palace of Emperor Tiberius. That may have been my friend’s objective but honestly I was there to see picturesque Capri. And as this Capri harbor print bears out, it was a fantastically beautiful destination. From the seaside to the very top of Monte Tiberio, Capri was one scenic Italian seaside vista after another.

For some inexplicable reason though it was the Capri harbor that most spoke to me. When we were in a rush to start our ascent, I had to stop and take the panorama this Capri artwork is based upon. And when we were exhausted that evening and waiting for our boat, I was again capturing that beautiful view of a Seaside Italian town following the contour of the landscape into the sea. Even if you’ve never been to Capri or indeed the Italian coast, I bet this print still reminds you of the enchanting and legendary Italian seaside. It definitely ticked all the boxes for me. It fit my preconceptions for life on seaside in Italy as well as my aesthetic sensibilities.
