Red GMC Pickup – Classic Truck Art Print by Mark Tisdale.

The subject of this classic truck art print is a red GMC pickup circa late 1940’s or early 1950’s. These classic trucks were from an era when cars and trucks still featured designs typical of Art Deco and the Streamline Moderne aesthetic. There’s just something very characterful and fun to me about these classic cars and trucks.

The inspiration for the artwork on this classic truck art print was down to a desire to do a fun Autumn scene that was no architectural. I love Fall foliage and the season itself so I can never get enough of this particular subject. But it’s a departure for it not to be a pure landscape or architectural. It was fun to make the subject this classic red GMC truck instead. That distinctive styling and the color harmony speaks to me. How about you?

This red GMC truck is shown against an autumn landscape backdrop where the colorful trees echo the color of the red truck and the skies have that distinctive shade of blue that is so typical of an autumn day. The result is a classic truck art print that has the power to please both people who love Fall colors as well as those who love classic trucks.
