About This Image

Atlanta Skyscrapers – Bank of America Plaza Greeting Card by Mark Tisdale.

The artwork on this Bank of America Plaza Greeting card captures a street-level view of Atlanta’s tallest skyscraper as seen from the heart of Peachtree Center, an area that has always struck me as Atlanta’s own version of the city of tomorrow. The blend of sleek, post-modern towers with tree-lined sidewalks and pedestrian skybridges creates a layered visual that feels both futuristic and grounded in daily urban life.

The Bank of America Plaza itself rises in the distance, framed here by the towers of SunTrust Plaza. The sharp geometry of these buildings, with their steel and glass façades, stands in contrast to the green canopy of trees that are in the foreground. That contrast was one of the reasons I was drawn to capture this particular view. I believe that the juxtaposition of nature and architecture, of past urban dreams and present-day life, is a big part of this print’s aesthetic pull.

I took the reference photos I used for this scene while walking through downtown Atlanta, and even now, I can remember the impression it made. The habitrail-style pedestrian walkways crisscrossing above the street reminded me of retro-futuristic illustrations from old science magazines or World’s Fair pavilions. Those were the visions of what the 21st century might look like. In this artwork for this print, I leaned into that atmosphere. The composition became a tribute not just to the actual skyline but to that imagined future that Atlanta, in places like this, seems to echo.

In addition to the soaring skyscrapers, you’ll notice the street activity below where there are cars, trees and their shadows which literally help ground this scene. While the tall buildings dominate the view, these elements remind us that this is a place people move through on a daily basis. This urban canyon may feel grand and distant at first glance, but it’s also very much part of the lived experience of the city.

If you have a personal connection to Atlanta, or you know someone who does, the art on this Bank of America Plaza Greeting Card might be just the thing to use as a mini-print of your own or to send to that special person. It’s well-suited for anyone drawn to architecture, city scenes, or even that nostalgic idea of a “future city” that lives on in corners of real places. This frameable 5×7 Atlanta greeting card also makes a thoughtful choice to welcome new Atlantans, a going-away card for someone moving on from the city, or simply a stylish reminder for those who’ve ever wandered the blocks between Midtown and Downtown and looked around in awe. In fact I remember my first time on a field trip as a teen in Atlanta. I am not sure exactly where we were walking in the city but I remember others in the group commenting about how I just kept looking up everywhere we went. I won’t say a date, but I will say that Bank of America plaza hadn’t been completed yet. I’m not sure its construction had even begun!

The artwork on this Bank of America Plaza Greeting Card is available through several trusted print-on-demand platforms linked here on this page. As an independent artist, every order, no matter where it’s placed, helps support the time, care, and creative work that goes into scenes like this one. Whether you’re looking a little keepsake of your own or a card that someone else might frame and keep form themselves after reading your note, I hope this Atlanta print brings a bit of the city’s energy and imagination into your space.

And if this scene stirs any memories for you, maybe your first visit to Atlanta, or perhaps a daily commute that takes or used to take you past these very buildings, I’d love to hear your story. Part of what keeps me creating scenes like these is the chance to connect over the places that have meant something to each of us.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out this Bank of America Plaza Greeting card. I hope the art printed on it brings a little of the city’s skyline,. and a touch of that vintage “tomorrowland” feel, into your world.
