This Toomer’s canvas print features an Auburn landmark. The artwork was the result of a request of an Auburn alum who follows my work. But it was one of those requests that fit in nicely with my existing body of Auburn art! It’s always a pleasure to fulfill a request, it’s a little more so when I know that others will enjoy this particular canvas print as well.
Toomer’s is, of course, a major Auburn landmark and features in more than one of my canvas prints already. For the uninitiated, Toomer’s Drugs has stood on this site for over a century. These days it’s a less a drug store more of a mixture of soda fountain and monument to tradition across from the campus of Auburn University. I really do have to wonder if the world would come to a screeching halt if Toomer’s ever vacated the corner that has come to bear its name!
This Auburn canvas print shows a red pickup truck in motion next to Toomer’s Drugs on the corner of College and Magnolia. The red really pops against the mostly blue tones of the artwork. It’s presented in a square format and captures the stylized letters of Toomer’s on the awning that wraps around the corner of the building. There’s something of a timeless nature to this particular print. It could span years of life at Auburn for the students who have passed by this place.

You can also select from three wrap styles for your canvas print:
- Mirrored wrap: The image extends around the sides of the canvas, preserving the integrity of the original artwork. This is the most popular and versatile option.
- Black wrap: A solid black color on the sides of the canvas.
- White wrap: A clean white color on the sides of the canvas.
A preview of each wrap style is available for you to view when selecting your option.
Once printed, your canvas is carefully stretched over a sturdy wooden frame made of 1.5″ x 1.5″ stretcher bars. The entire production process takes 5 to 7 business days. Your canvas print will be shipped in secure packaging with a hanging wire attached and all necessary hardware included, making it a convenient, ready-to-hang artwork.
