This Fan Pier skyline view metal print features a scenic night in a Boston Rain. You can almost hear the rain coming down on the pier around the couple in the foreground can’t you? I love doing night scenes in general but I particularly adore depicting a falling rain at night. There’s just something magical about it for me. I think partially it may be because an actual rain energizes me. Hence looking at this rainy metal print gives me the same psychological feeling.
Fan Pier is an historical part of Boston like much of the harbor area. And also like much of the area, it’s been redeveloped in recent years. Once an industrial area and part of Boston’s history as a port city, it has become a live work area cluster of skyscrapers with a great view of the city proper. On my visits to Boston I have always ended up by the water, which I suspect is par for the course.
