Cape Florida Light – Key Biscayne 5×7 Greeting Card by Mark Tisdale.
This Key Biscayne greeting card features the Cape Florida Light. This historic lighthouse was constructed in 1825. The lighthouse operated until 1878 when it was replaced by another lighthouse. A century later it was briefly re-activated to mark the Florida Channel into Biscayne Bay. This period of operation lasted from 1978 to 1990 when the Cape Florida Light was again deactivated. The lighthouse was restored in the 1990’s and re-lit in 1996. Today it stands in the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park where the lighthouse and an adjacent museum operate to educate the public about the Maritime history of the Miami-Dade region.
This lighthouse was a subject recommended to me by a follower and I had a strong yen for palm trees right now so I was happy to do something with a bit of a tropical vibe. These 5″ x 7″ greeting cards are printed on premium 100 lb. paper stock for a high-quality, sturdy feel. The exterior features a semi-gloss finish, thanks to a UV protectant coating that enhances the colors. The inside of the card has a smooth, matte white finish, perfect for writing your own message.
You can order the cards plain or with a custom printed message of up to 500 characters. Each card comes with a white envelope, ready for mailing or gift giving. Cards are available for purchase individually or in packs of 10 or 25.
