This Georgia canvas print features a foggy sunrise landscape along the Chattahoochee River just below the dam at Lake Lanier. I’ll always be thankful I stumbled upon the walking trails below Lake Lanier. Not only was it a beautiful way to spend a morning, this magical moment of sunrise and fog is hard to recreate. I’ll never forget how excited I was the morning I took this photo. When the light came over the nearby hills and flooded the landscape with light… it was just, as you can see from this print, dazzling.
I re-visited this spot on the Chattahoochee just below Lake Lanier’s Buford dam many times over and I never saw another morning like this one. The interaction of the morning light and the mists over the river… well… it’s just indescribably beautiful! And it looked like this only for a moment. I stood there hoping to capture even one more moment like this and it didn’t happen. The light and mists had been right for just a fleeting moment. After I had written off any chance of a repeat that morning, I headed home because I was determined to see if my capture of that magical morning light equaled what I had seen with my own eyes. And as you can see from this Chattahoochee canvas print, it surely did!

When ordering your print, you have a choice between glossy and matte finishes. While I ordinarily love matte finishes on prints, I do like the sheen that comes on glossy canvas prints. Ultimately I would suggest letting the amount of light in your space guide your choice. In a brightly lit environment, I would lean towards a matte finish to reduce the chance of glare.
There are three wrap styles to choose from for canvas prints. The mirrored wrap choice mirrors and extends the image to the sides of the canvas wrap (without losing any of the original artwork on the front). The majority of the time I would suggest this is the best choice. The other two options are a solid black wrap or white wrap. You can see a preview of each option when selecting wrap color.
After printing, the canvas is stretched over and secured to a wooden frame of 1.5″ by 1.5″ stretcher bars. The entire production process takes from 5 to 7 business days. Your artwork will arrive in sturdy packaging. The hanging wire will be attached and all hardware necessary to hang your canvas print will be included. Canvas prints are a great ready-to-hang option.
