This Irish art print features a brilliant blue Galway water view. On my trip to Ireland years ago, I chose to take a quick bus trip that was a week of my month plus stay in Ireland. I figured the bus trip would give me an idea of places where I wanted to spend more time. Funny enough on that bus trip, I saw Galway in the dark. It was a wet and rainy evening when we arrived and cold and dark morning when we left. I never saw the sun.

But something about Galway clicked and I chose to come back there and spent about half of my stay in Ireland there. There was plenty of rain and fog and clouds but when the sun came out it was gorgeous. If you looked closely at the water’s edge where the seabirds are in the foreground, there’s actually a little ice and the blue has an ineffable cold quality to it, but I still feel warm looking at this Galway water view. It’s probably an emotional response, my memories of this enchanting place but I can’t help smiling whenever I see Galway.
