Green Karmann Ghia – Classic Car Canvas Print by Mark Tisdale.
The subject of this classic car canvas print is a green Karmann Ghia. Probably not as universally known as the VW Beetle, the Type 17 Convertible was another classic car put out by Volkswagen during the same time period.
My inspiration to feature a Green Karmann Ghia in this print was that this little sports car was my Mom’s dream car when she was younger. When I was growing up when we would spot one on the road, she would always point it out. And green was in particular the color she wanted. I am not sure what model year the Karman Ghia that I based this canvas art on is but it appears to be somewhere between a 1963 and a 1969. If you’re more well versed in classic cars, I’d love to know for sure!
