Description

“The Pinnacle – Buckhead Atlanta Art Print – 22-Story Skyscraper with Curved Sail Glass Roof” captures a defining element of Atlanta’s skyline, showcasing the striking beauty of this iconic building. The Pinnacle, located in Buckhead near Lenox Road and Peachtree Road, remains one of the city’s highly recognizable landmarks, known for its 22 stories and that dramatic curved glass sail roof, it reaches skyward with a sculptural elegance.

When I first moved to Atlanta in the late ’90s, The Pinnacle was one of the first buildings to catch my attention. I didn’t know it at the time but The Pinnacle Building was a fresh addition to the blossoming skyline along Peachtree Street. I lived nearby and I often found myself gazing up at this beautiful piece of glass and steel architecture. Though the cityscape around it has grown and evolved, The Pinnacle Building continues to stand proudly as a distinctive and memorable feature of Buckhead’s forward-looking architecture.

This print with the busy street scene with cars in motion also offers a glimpse into the vibrant energy and busy hum of life of Buckhead, one of Atlanta’s most dynamic districts. Once known for its lively bar scene, Buckhead has transformed into a thriving commercial and residential hub, blending sleek modern development with an ever-changing cityscape. In my mind, the Pinnacle stands as a symbol of this evolution, continuing to define the area’s identity as it balances the past with Atlanta’s future growth.

Designed by Pickard Chilton, this striking building blends modern and postmodern elements, with its unique roof that gives the illusion of movement. I have to admit, it took me a while to realize that the roof is fixed – its sweeping design convinced me otherwise for some time. That sense of potential motion is just one of the many details that make The Pinnacle so captivating.

The image on this art print was created during one last stroll I took from downtown Atlanta ending in the Buckhead district before I left Atlanta to pursue my dream of becoming a full-time artist. It felt fitting to revisit this landmark, symbolizing both a new beginning and a lasting connection to the city where I spent my early adulthood.

With this print, I intend to share the awe I felt for The Pinnacle and the life energy I felt when I first roamed this area of Atlanta. It’s where the pulse of the city meets the bold beauty of its skyline. Whether you have a personal connection to Atlanta as I do or simply appreciate remarkable architecture, this print is an invitation to experience the lasting appeal of one of the city’s most eye-catching skyscrapers.

Whether you called this area home, worked here, or still do, this is a great choice for art in your home or other spaces. It also will make a great gift if you’re shopping for an art print for someone that you know has a connection of their own to this part of Atlanta. It can be both a personal touch telling part of  our own story and the great lines of the architecture brings its own style into your home, business, or other places.
