About This Image
Temple Bar District – Dublin Ireland 5×7 Greeting Card by Mark Tisdale.
This Dublin Ireland greeting card features a night time view of the landmark Temple Bar district. If you’ve visited Dublin there’s little doubt you’ve found your way here at some point, right? This artwork is based on a photo I took on my last night in Ireland. Of course I had to take one final wander through the Temple Bar district. Even on a chilly winter night there were still people likewise out. When I spotted this couple holding hands and walking along the damp street, the scene was set. For orientation, this is at the Quays Bar across from Temple Bar Square on the same-named street.
For me, the image on this Dublin greeting card has the feeling that I could almost step into it. Part of that is, of course, that it stirs memories of that actual night, but I think it’s also because of the sweeping street view. The original photo this is based upon was taken using a fisheye lens which creates a very wide view.
Does this Temple Bar artwork pull you in as well? What first caught your eye when you saw this Dublin Ireland greeting card? I hope you’ll share what attracted you to this particular scene.
