I spent my last afternoon in the Savannah area enjoying the beach on Tybee Island. Despite staying in Savannah, it felt like I spent most of my time haunting the seaside and even if it wasn’t my plan, it was a great use of my time. And I certainly can’t think of a better end to my stay than staring across that tranquil beach towards Tybee Island pier. Looks like a little slice of paradise doesn’t it?
I’m told in the height of summer the beach on Tybee can be rather crowded, but as you can see in this picture, on a Sunday afternoon after school was back in session, there weren’t so many people enjoying the end of the day here. I might have had a slightly different reaction if I had spent my days there packed in with others, yet I feel like that beautiful seaside would shine through no matter.
This photo of Tybee Island pier and pavilion was taken near sunset and the wet sand on the beach is reflecting a beautiful cloud-filled sky over the long pier. I’ve done my best in this photo to capture the serenity I experienced on Tybee. Have you had a similar experience there?
