Woodland Path – Fall Foliage Art Print by Mark Tisdale.

This original fall foliage art print features a woodland path in my favorite season. There’s just something about the warm colors of Autumn that cheers my heart and inspires me. When I lived in the northern suburbs of Atlanta, I frequently made weekend road trips into the nearby North Georgia mountains to enjoy seeing the leaves change. The leaves in the part of the state where I grew up are not nearly so dramatic. Well, it’s probably more a matter of volume than anything else. Being surrounded by brilliant fall foliage is a lot different than seeing a few trees here and there among the pines. So this scene of a couple walking towards an open gate on a woodland path was very much inspired by those trips into the mountains as well as the pictures I’ve seen of New England in Autumn. I’d love to see that in person some day. I am sure it would inspire even more scenes of vivid fall foliage?

The title of this woodland path art print is “Grow Old Along With Me” which you may recognize as it’s a line from the poem Rabbi ben Ezra by Robert Browning.
