Churches Art Prints

The churches in these art prints reflect my years of traveling on both the back-roads of America and in other countries beyond. I’ve often been astounded by the variety of Christian architecture which I believe you will find evident in these vibrant art prints of the churches I’ve seen and encountered. From the vernacular architecture of old country churches to soaring Gothic and the neoclassical styles of churches and cathedrals following the Renaissance, there’s surely a style to suit the mood you’re after.

  • Hallowed Ground - Monastic Ruins on Inishmore in Ireland - Aran Island Print by Mark Tisdale

Irish Hallowed Ground – Aran Islands Art Print

    $24.00

The Aran Islands were one of those special almost indescribable places you stumble across from time to time. When the winds were howling and the rain was whipping across the island, you wondered why anyone would ever live in such a place. Then the sun came out and the island was suddenly… well, you just…

  • Bored Gargoyle on The Roof Of Notre Dame Overlooking Paris Print by Mark Tisdale

Bored Gargoyle – Paris Cityscape From Notre Dame Art

    $24.00

I read that most of the Gargoyles on our modern day Notre Dame, although historically accurate, are not original. Most of the gargoyles had been lost to the ravages of time and changing tastes. I don’t know whether this bored gargoyle is an original medieval design or part of the 19th century renovations, but his…

If you’ve ever walked up the huge hill in Montmartre to visit Sacré Coeur, then this print may well remind you of the sight that greeted you at the top of the highest hill in Paris. Even though I stayed in Montmartre while I was in Paris, it was a few days before I built…

  • Candid scene of women on the Millennium bridge against the London Skyline - Print by Mark Tisdale

Candid View Of the London Skyline – Art Print

    $24.00

This London print is something of a rarity in my artwork. I love to include people in my scenes but rarely are they featured at this level. That’s something of a riddle as I have always loved people watching. Yet I have rarely ventured into candid street photography. I think it was in some part…

London is a cityscape filled with landmark architecture – buildings so iconic they are known the world over. And there’s no question that St Paul’s Cathedral is one of them. Beautiful Bath Abbey At Dusk – England Art Print

    $24.00

I had less than 24 hours to enjoy the beautiful architecture for which the city of Bath is known. But that short time was more than enough to fall  in love with this beautiful city and am certain I will return one day. Pictured here is the beautiful Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint…

Galway is one of those places that gets under your skin. If you’ve been there, I suspect you know what I mean. It didn’t take long at all for me to decide Galway was one of my favorite Irish cities. I took an initial bus tour around Ireland and spent only a single night in…

  • Galway Cathedral as dusk Falls Print by Mark Tisdale - Vintage Irish Style Art

Dusk in Galway – Cathedral On The Corrib Art Print

    $24.00

This print is based on a photo taken at dusk in Galway on my last night in the city. I had taken photos on previous evenings from this same vantage point overlooking the Salmon Weir Bridge over the River Corrib. If you’re in one spot long enough, I think it’s natural to repeat locations, to…

  • Irish Monastery - Landscape Art Print by Mark Tisdale

    Irish Monastery – Landscape Art

    $24.00

There was simply something about the ruins of this Irish Monastery that spoke to me. I can’t explain it in any other way. Ross Errilly Friary was nestled in the Irish countryside in the midst of sheep pastures. And it seemed to echo with voices from the past. Standing there on a cold but sunny…

  • Galway Cathedral at night in a dense fog - Ireland Print by Mark Tisdale

Galway Cathedral In Thick Fog At Night Art

    $24.00

When I spotted Galway Cathedral rising above the River Corrib on my first day in Galway, I assumed the church was quite old, possibly even Medieval. The church is very classical in shape, drawing heavily from Renaissance style architecture. But I soon discovered the cathedral was built over an old prison on Nun’s Island in…

  • Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church - Sweet Auburn Print by Mark Tisdale

Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church – Sweet Auburn

    $24.00

Even without Martin Luther King, Jr., historic Ebenezer Baptist Church would be integral to the history of “Black Atlanta.” The church congregation dates back to the 1880s. The historic church building itself was built in the 1920s and remodeled and adapted throughout the course of the 20th century as the church in the Sweet Auburn…

  • London Architectural Blueprint Art of Westminster Abbey by Mark Tisdale

London Architectural Blueprint Art – Westminster Abbey

This London architectural blueprint artwork was inspired by one of my visits to Westminster Abbey several years ago. This was one of my first exposures to soaring medieval Gothic architecture. • Big Bethel Church - Sweet Auburn - Atlanta Print by Mark Tisdale

Big Bethel Church – Sweet Auburn – Atlanta Art Print

    $24.00

There’s a lot of history on the streets of Atlanta like Big Bethel Church seen in the Sweet Auburn artwork here. Big Bethel AME is the oldest church in the Sweet Auburn neighborhood. The historic church was founded in the 1840s in Marthasville, Georgia. If that name is not familiar, it’s because Marthasville would become…

  • Glastonbury Tor Print by Mark Tisdale - Southern England

Dark And Gothic Glastonbury Tor Print

    $24.00

Glastonbury Tor, pictured here, is a truly magical piece of the British landscape. The legends about this great hill are numerous, but perhaps most well known today is that Glastonbury Tor is Avalon of the legends of King Arthur. Yet even apart from Arthur, I think anyone looking at this black and white print of…

  • Notre Dame Gargoyle on the Paris Skyline - Print by Mark Tisdale

Guardian of Paris – Notre Dame Gargoyle Art

    $24.00

Like a great many things in a city as picturesque as Paris, photos of a Notre Dame Gargoyle overlooking the city are admittedly nothing new. Still, I had a feeling I was onto something with my composition when I saw a line of tourists behind me, cameras in hand, ready to try for the same…

  • Savannah Cathedral Near Lafayette Square - Gothic Architecture Print by Georgia artist Mark Tisdale

Savannah Cathedral – Fairy-tale Architecture Art

    $24.00

City tours are often a great way to get to know a new city, and my time on the Georgia coast was so brief that I’m not sure I would have even seen Savannah cathedral if I hadn’t taken one of those little trolley tours of the historic city. In fact, every tour guide I…
