This red telephone box greeting card features Britain in summer. When I started this series featuring a red British phone box through the seasons, there were a couple of seasons I had immediately in mind and summer was one of them. I immediately pictured a beach scene complete with ramshackle old beach huts simply because it’s such a quintessentially British summer scene even for those of us from afar.
This was simply a fun scene to work on from investigating the typical height of a beach hut so that the scale would be right to the color scheme itself. Don’t the soft pastel beach colors make the sold red of the telephone box pop? And I think in the end it was fun simply because it’s such a fun subject. Britain in summer alone would be a fun subject but adding in a classic red phone booth… well, if you’ve seen my other UK art, you know that is a favorite subject in general.
The Britain in summer artwork on this card would be a fun reminder of a beach holiday or simply chosen for the whimsy of it. These cards are suitable to share and display – something the recipient will love to keep.

Greeting cards are 5″ x 7″ in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. Each card comes with a white envelope.
