A Roman Rat – Mosaic Art Print by Mark Tisdale
This art print features a “roman rat” in a mosaic style. This was inspired by a trip years ago to Pompeii where among other mosaics, we saw “Cave Canem” – a mosaic of a dog that said in latin beware of the dog. I’m pretty sure I’ve also seen rat mosaics somewhere either in Rome or in a book or online. Either way I thought this was a fun way to present a clever rat as if he had been preserved for posterity as part of some ancient Roman mosaic art piece.
