In fact, if you’re a fan of the 80’s movie, The Goonies, Cannon Beach appears in the movie. This gorgeous landscape was a subject suggested to me and I immediately pictured a dramatic sunset sky on Oregon’s Pacific coast.
Haystack Rock towers 235 feet over Cannon Beach which is both the name of the beach itself as well as the community that has built up adjacent to it. Cannon Beach is in Clatsop County about 80 miles west of Portland.
