This Dublin metal print features The Temple Bar pub. This print is probably the most popular of my images of Ireland. Certainly it was the earliest one to gain interest. I had not even begun sorting which images to offer as prints, yet when I shared this one from Dublin’s Temple Bar, I shortly had someone ask if I was going to offer prints. Well, I knew I liked it but even after years of doing this professionally, it’s not always easy to pick out what will please others. But this landmark scene from Temple Bar in Dublin at night seems to have that indescribable magic that draws people in.

I love the pop of red and the very traditional Irish pub feel of this bar, never mind the great assortment of people standing outside, but it’s the bright lights shining down the walls and spilling onto the cobblestones that really makes this photo for me. It was taken with a fisheye lens which gives a great surreal and almost 3D quality to the final image.

It’s now been a couple of years since I stood there, but the richness of this Dublin metal print never fails to make me feel as if I’m standing there again, on a night out in the midst of Dublin’s well known Temple Bar.

Is it the bright lights or maybe the unusual wide angle effect from the fish-eye lens I used that night? Whatever it may be, wall art of this last night in Temple Bar have appealed to many of you out there looking for a memento of Dublin, Ireland.
