These world culture art prints are from places near and far but have a common bond in that they depict special places. Some of these places are historically significant places where events have unfolded in the past that shape us today. Others display heritage architecture. Inside Karnak Temple – Egyptian Ruins Art Print

    $24.00

On the day we left Luxor, we got an early start to arrive at Karnak Temple just as it opened. The morning light on those ancient Egyptian ruins was simply golden and dazzling. The light of a new day is such a stark contrast with the twilight of this ancient architecture. By the time we…

  • Ruins at Abu Simbel - Golden Egypt Print by Mark Tisdale

Golden Egypt Art Print – Ruins At Abu Simbel

    $24.00

This golden Egypt print is courtesy of a ridiculously early bus to Abu Simbel. I would love to say that’s just how dedicated I am to catching the golden light of morning, but it’s really down to being how one gets to Abu Simbel from Aswan by road. For security concerns, the cars and buses…

  • Trajan's Kiosk - Ptolemaic architecture on Island of Philae - Egypt Print by Mark Tisdale

Trajan’s Kiosk on Philae – Roman Egypt Art Prints

    $24.00

It’s been so long since I visited the Egyptian ruins on the Island of “Philae” that I’m honestly not sure if I knew then that they had connections to ancient Rome or not? I put Philae in quotes because the real sacred island of Philae rests beneath the waters of Lake Aswan today. When the…

  • Hay House - Macon Georgia Art Print by local artist Mark Tisdale

Hay House – Historic Macon Georgia Art

    $24.00

Hay House is sometimes called the Palace of The South, and certainly it is palatial in design, wouldn’t you agree? This gorgeous piece of historic Macon, Georgia, was built by William Butler Johnston for his wife Anne. The couple honeymooned in Europe from 1855 to 1859, and it should be evident that part of that…

  • Giza Pyramids - Second Pyramid on the Plateau - Egypt Print by Mark Tisdale

The Pyramids – Ancient Wonders Art Print

    $24.00

Seeing the great pyramids on the Giza plateau is truly like looking at a guidebook written in antiquity. • Golden Luxor Ruins art by Mark Tisdale

Golden Luxor Ruins – Egyptian Antiquities Art Print

    $24.00

It is funny that when I look at this photo of the Luxor ruins, I don’t think of the modern Egyptian city that surrounds it. On that first afternoon in Luxor when I saw it bathed in the golden light of the afternoon sun, it felt utterly separate from the city around it. Almost as…

  • Egyptian Ruins Print by Mark Tisdale - Abu Simbel

Egyptian Ruins at Abu Simbel – Ancient Egypt Art Prints

The ancient Egyptian ruins at Abu Simbel are notable for many reasons. Sloppy Joe’s Bar – Key West Artwork

    $24.00

I truly love featuring historic places like Key West’s Sloppy Joe’s Bar. For those not familiar with the history of Key West, this was a haunt of Ernest Hemingway himself. The present bar on Duval Street and the original on Green Street were both owned by one of Hemingway’s friends, Joe Russell. In fact, it’s…

  • Old South Art - Plantation Style Home Print by Georgia artist Mark Tisdale

Old South Art – Plantation Style House Print

Ramses The Great – Face of Ozymandias Art Print

    $24.00

It was a long dark ride to see Abu Simbel, one of the ancient temples built to honor Ramses The Great. It’s worth noting that of all the pharaohs of Egypt, Ramses II was the only one to be styled The Great. And in his nearly seven decade rule, he certainly left behind a monumental…

  • Luxor Temple Ruins - Egypt Print by Mark Tisdale

Luxor Temple Ruins – Ancient Egypt Art Print

Little Greek Theatre At Pompeii – Roman Ruins Art

    $24.00

There was some ineffable quality to the Little Greek Theatre at Pompeii. Although it was in ruins, there was a haunting stillness that felt as if the actors and the audience had simply stepped away for the moment. And yet at the same time, I felt the weight of the years here. It was while…
