Red Telephone Box Art
This collection of red telephone box art features one of my favorite subjects! If you’ve followed my work in the past or explored the subjects of my prints, you’ll definitely see I’ve got a little bit of an inclination towards being an Anglophile. From a young age I was fascinated by British culture and consumed British TV before it was possible to find it anywhere but PBS. I’m not sure when I became obsessed with red phone booths in particular but it must have been pretty young because I simply don’t remember not liking them. I had an uncle who came back with tons of slides from a trip to Europe. I was maybe 5 years old at the time but I still remember being fascinated by the UK even then. Maybe that’s when I saw my first red phone box?
Whatever the case, the classic red telephone box art you see for sale here are very much a work of love. Some of them are among my most popular prints and span years of my career as an artist.
