Macon County Georgia Art Prints

This collection of Macon County Georgia art prints are near and dear to me as a hometown artist. When I think of home the rural landscapes and small town scenes you see here are what come to mind.

When I began capturing these scenes, I mainly expected people who lived here would enjoy this local wall art. However, I’ve been happily surprised over the years by how much they resonate with others.

Perhaps there’s something of a universal experience underlying the small town and rural experience that they connect with? Whatever the case, I hope and trust that you’ll enjoy browsing through my scenes from home in Macon County, Georgia. Maybe they remind you of home because we share the same roots, or maybe they speak to your love for simpler places and times, whatever the case, if you’re looking for some wall art to bring a little light and color to your life, definitely pause to enjoy these.

Red Dirt Roads – Rural Georgia Landscape Art

    $24.00

There’s no question that when I see red dirt roads like the one in this Georgia landscape print, I think of home. And in the case of this artwork, this is in fact a beautiful sunset from my own home county in rural Georgia. I was raised in the tiny town of Montezuma which believe…

  • Rustic Barn - Georgia Countryside Landscape Print by local artist Mark Tisdale

Rustic Barn Art Print – Georgia Countryside

    $24.00

There’s just something quaint and charming about an old rustic barn and a country road. It’s the sort of scenic landscape that has spoken to us for generations. Even if the olden days weren’t as uncomplicated as they seem, when you see an old rustic barn in the midst of farm country it feels like…

  • The Flint River in a fog - Georgia Landscape Print by Mark Tisdale

Flint River Fog – Georgia Landscape Art Print

    $24.00

There’s something about the cool quiet of morning standing by a body of water like the Flint River. It has always been an experience that I find recharges the mental batteries in a very zen way. Have you had that same experience of losing yourself and your worries in a moment like the one in…

  • Small Town Streets art print - Montezuma Georgia Art by Mark Tisdale

Small Town Streets – Montezuma Georgia

    $24.00

Since these small town streets are in my own home town, I may be a bit biased, but for me this is classic America. When I think of small towns, streets like this lined with old shops and period architecture are what come to mind. And Cherry Street in downtown Montezuma is a listed US…

  • Rust Red Tractor - Rural Georgia Print by local artist Mark Tisdale

Rust Red Tractor – Rural Georgia Landscape Art

    $24.00

This rust red tractor in a golden landscape has long been one of my personal favorite prints. There’s something about it that really captures the local flavor of rural Georgia in the autumn. Those wispy cloud streaked skies are the epitome of our fall skies and the golden grasses are the spectacular hue that portends…

  • Old South Art - Plantation Style Home Print by Georgia artist Mark Tisdale

Old South Art – Plantation Style House Print

    $24.00

Perhaps I am not impartial since I grew up in Montezuma, but this neoclassical plantation style gem is the epitome of the old south to me. I half expect a southern belle to descend the steps, don’t you?  It’s truly a classic plantation style house that conjures memories of gracious southern living. Don’t you think?…

  • Grain Silo - Farm Landscape Art by Mark Tisdale

Grain Silo – Farm Landscape Art

    $24.00

This grain silo was inspired by one I saw on a farm in the countryside of Macon County, Georgia. This farm landscape captures the feeling of the environment in late summer. The trees on the horizon are a darker hue of green and the embankment in the foreground is covered in late summer wildflowers. Golden…

  • Wide open spaces - Rural Georgia Landscape art - Macon County Print by Mark Tisdale

Wide Open Spaces – Rural Georgia Landscape Art

This print is my definition of wide open spaces. Seeing a road disappearing onto the horizon in a landscape like this just feels empowering, perhaps freeing? It speaks to the side of me that wants to hop in the car and ride and ride into the never-ending sunset like the end of a movie. There’s…

  • Colorful Rural Sunset - Georgia Farm Landscape Print by Mark Tisdale

Colorful Rural Sunset – Georgia Farm Landscape Art

This colorful print features a particularly spectacular rural sunset in Macon County, Georgia. I took this photo when I still lived in Atlanta. • Marshallville depot - Georgia Print by Mark Tisdale - Queen Anne Style Railroad Depot

Marshallville Depot – Georgia Railroad Art Print

    $24.00

I especially love old train stations like the Marshallville Depot seen in this print. They were built in a period of history when even relatively utilitarian buildings still had style and craftsmanship. It was also a time when small towns were still the hub of an agricultural economy. These days these old railroad depots are…

  • Rustic Farmhouse Art - Grandma's Cottage Print by Mark Tisdale

Rustic Farmhouse Art – Grandma’s Cottage

    $24.00

This particular piece of rustic farmhouse art has a small special detail that makes it incredibly sentimental to me. The figure in the doorway is intended to be my grandmother. Among the stacks of old family photos is one my grandfather took of his baby son being held on the steps of their home om…

  • Little Red Cottage Style Artwork by Georgia artist Mark Tisdale

    Red Cottage Art Print

There’s something special about cozy homes like this little red cottage on a side street in my hometown of Montezuma, Georgia.
